NAMELESS

An endless sea of purple and white

Danced across the ground

Taking from my eyes the pleasures of sight

And bearing witness the silence of sound

From here I’ve seen waves rise

                                                    and

                                                            fall

Heard mermaids cry

Watched sailors die

and The Mother’s ever changing eyes watched them

Loved them all

From here I watched the Bismark drown

I saw the fires burning bright

From here I’ve seen a broken love

Hold true through fickle night

From here I’ve seen all my eyes need see

To know that I have lived

And now I will cross The Ocean’s plane

On a single drift of wind

LOST

What becomes of our dreams as they flee the coming dawn?

Passion and feeling cast out into the undying winds

Lost, and without substance, they linger as apparitions in the depths of our minds

Soon though, having no recourse, they give themselves unto the torrent of time

To be reborn in another’s mind

And those that are fortunate may find their way

To a heart that will love them

For more than a day
